Principles for buying water filters and tanks
- If water condition is normal tap water, you should choose an RO system or a UF system because these systems are designed to work directly with tap water.
- If the water to be filtered is groundwater, the water condition should first be analyzed to determine whether it is acidic/alkali and how much limestone is presented. Then, select water tank and filters that are suitable for such water conditions
- There are different grades and prices of filters and water tanks. Prices ranging from hundreds to tens of thousands, some are produced in Thailand, some are imported, the price will change according to the quality of the product.
- Cost-effectiveness, in this case one should look to the future for many years to come, for example if we currently install at a low cost but we have to maintain or change frequently, especially filters that need to be replaced every 6 months or 1 year. So, it would be wise to choose a water purifier that has a longer service life and is more cost-effective than those that need frequent replacement.
Warranty and after-sales service
Generally, water purifiers and water tanks are not warranted for their respective parts as they are related to the water conditions in each area in which they are being used. However, there will be a guarantee in the service life of the machine itself of durability for certain period of time (e.g., 1 year, 2 years or more depending on brand names etc.)
